My hometown of Helena is a pretty lame place to be hanging out in. There isn’t much of anything to do and I don’t have a car so I can’t exactly go visit all my friends individually when I visit. But at the same time I feel at ease and happy when I’m there. Every time I go visit Helena my mind is flooded with memories from every mountain, sidewalk, and rural area. Read more

Whoever you are, there is a food that brings you back home and makes you feel like everything will be alright. It might be an indulgently sweet desert or a fat-filled, carbohydrate-laden main dish. It might even be a healthy, wholesome dish, just like the one your mom made.
Comfort foods can help a person get back on track when they’re feeling down or, when food is used to fill a void of some sort, comfort foods can knock a person off track. Restaurants dress up comfort foods and magazines publish family recipes. We have a love affair with food that makes us feel good–create something that pays homage to this great love.
There may come a time when you want to post an entry to the Creative Nudge that is already saved as Word document (or some other odd format, like OpenOffice or Pages). The problem with this is that, sometimes, when you paste from these other programs, weird formatting comes through with the text, making it look all funky when it’s displayed on the Nudge site.
