Your own blog on the Creative Nudge site

I made an offer a while ago to let any Consortium member have their own blogs on the site. That offer still stands, but with a little twist. Now, you can have your own blog at the address http://blogs.creativenudge.org/BLOGNAME. It’s free. It’s easy. You can have a blog today if you want to. Just let me know if you’re interested.

My summer madness

My hometown of Helena is a pretty lame place to be hanging out in. There isn’t much of anything to do and I don’t have a car so I can’t exactly go visit all my friends individually when I visit. But at the same time I feel at ease and happy when I’m there. Every time I go visit Helena my mind is flooded with memories from every mountain, sidewalk, and rural area. Read more

My greatest achievment

It was the spring of 2007; my graduation from High school was quickly approaching. The pressure was starting to set in; what was going to happen next as I started my path in life? Would I get into college? Either way I knew my life was about to change forever. Read more

Empathy

Ryan Cassavaugh Bio at reallivetheater.org

There is a nice write up of the illustrious and talented Bozeman playwright, man-about-town and Creative Nudge member Ryan Cassavaugh at reallivetheater.org. The author, Ray Sikorski, is another Creative Nudge member. Check out the article and learn a little more about the author of this year“s “Best Production” winner at the Equinox Theater’s one-act festival.

Comfort Food

Whoever you are, there is a food that brings you back home and makes you feel like everything will be alright. It might be an indulgently sweet desert or a fat-filled, carbohydrate-laden main dish. It might even be a healthy, wholesome dish, just like the one your mom made.

Comfort foods can help a person get back on track when they’re feeling down or, when food is used to fill a void of some sort, comfort foods can knock a person off track. Restaurants dress up comfort foods and magazines publish family recipes. We have a love affair with food that makes us feel good–create something that pays homage to this great love.

Pasting your entries from a word processing program

There may come a time when you want to post an entry to the Creative Nudge that is already saved as Word document (or some other odd format, like OpenOffice or Pages). The problem with this is that, sometimes, when you paste from these other programs, weird formatting comes through with the text, making it look all funky when it’s displayed on the Nudge site. This post will tell you how to avoid that. Read more
