Submitting your response to a nudge is simple. First, register for an account, and then log in. You can log in by clicking on the “log in” link at the bottom of any page (one you are logged in, this link changes into a “site admin” link that takes you to the dashboard).
Once you have logged in, you’ll be presented with the administration area, otherwise known as the dashboard. There you can find links to edit your user profile, view the queue of upcoming posts, and post your own writing.
To submit your writing, click on “write.” This will take you to the post editing screen, where you can either type or paste in your submission. You have the option of either using a rich-text-style editor that looks pretty much like a word processor window or typing your post in HTML code. Use whichever method works best for you. Just note that if you’re using HTML mode, you’ll need to enter an extra line break (double-space) between your paragraphs to make them look right.
Oh, and if you get tired halfway through, you can hit the “save” button to save your text as a draft, which you can then come back and finish later.
You can juggle your formatting as needed — italics and bolds and what-nots and then add a photo or other media if you like (via the little “add media” menu at the top of the editing box).
Then, when you’ve got everything just the way you want it, scroll on down the screen and choose a category for your post. This will be easy, since you’ll just choose the category for the nudge you’re responding to. Put a check mark in the right box, then return to the top of the page and hit the “submit for review” button to submit your… ahem, submission.
(Oh, and don’t go doing things like creating new categories. They’ll just get deleted. Stick with the provided categories, if you please.)
All submissions are held for moderation before they are posted live to the site, just to make sure you’re not posting anything illegal or libelous.
